- 6. Funeral Expenses: ₹15,000 for funeral expenses of the insured person.
- 7. Rehabilitation Allowance: For insured individuals undergoing vocational rehabilitation.
How does an employer register under ESIC?
Employers can register online at the ESIC Portal (www.esic.in). The process includes:
- 1. Creating a User ID and Password.
- 2. Filling the Employer Registration Form (Form-1).
- 3. Submitting required documents like PAN, bank details, and employee information.
Is ESIC mandatory for all employers?
Yes, ESIC registration is mandatory for employers in establishments with 10 or more employees (20 in certain states) earning up to ₹21,000 per month.
What is the process for employees to claim ESIC benefits?
Employees must visit the nearest ESIC dispensary or hospital with their ESIC card (Pechan Card) and biometric details. For cash benefits, they can file claims through their employer.
